help with connecting stereo
 
hi guys,

went to put my kenwood headunit in my bug and couldnt connect due to the connection on the standard subaru head unit being different..anybody know what type of connection id need? Below is the connection on my head unit

I know I shouldn't suggest it, but, halford's... don't quote me on this, but as far as I can remember, Its a connection between the old DIN and what ever the new one is. I know halford's do an adaptor for around a tener I believe. Head unit fit fine into the dash socket too? as there is also a new and old style of 'socket'.

lazadude is right i got a cable for my pioneer unit there 12.99 i think. its called an iso connector you need kenwood to subaru iso cable only problem i had was i needed to connect a seperate wire from 12v to aerial amplifier to get radio reception.

what you need is a connector from subaru to iso male which autoleads do and you can pick them up at halfords

That looks like the one mate, that gets you connected to a stereo with iso connecetors on the rear.
