Software to record from the BBC iplayer ?

Is their any good software out there that will allow you to recored from the BBC iplayer ? I don`t really want the software that grabs the recording via a screen capture, i`m after something that will record the streaming in very good quality.

I tried that, the audio was perfect but the video was quite blocky.

Some programmes on the iplayer don't have the download option, the only way you would be able to download it in good quality is to try and find some software that will download the original stream.

As an example, this is what i'm trying to download. The end goal is to try and burn it onto a dvd hence the quality must be excellent.

The first one if I put that into the application it just closes down

The second one gives an ID of the programme title to download, which tells me it is not available.

So which one is it - I want to get Sounds Of The 20th CEntury 1964 but it will nto download as there is no download button available on the player page so please can someone help me as to how to use this?

I only need it because it would appear that Applian software will no longer work because their server has failed.

Thanks very much and I look forward to hearing from you.

Now I know this does not work, I am now trying WM Recorder. Problem is I have a serial number but not sure where to enter it.

CAn anyone help?

Thanks.

cant you not download the programme you want from either a torrent or newsgroup site? what was the programme btw?

The programme that has stopped working properly is Replay Media Catcher, because it needs to access the company server to make sure the registration code keeps working.

I already have this, but I tried to get WM Recorder, and that was no luck - it just would not let me record anything.

So can you suggest another programme that will actually capture streams from BBC IPlayer that actually works?

Thanks
