How much is the value of the car?

Once you go over a certain amount it can severely push up ya premium.

There will be a higher claims history on scoobs than the new rs, hence the lower price on the rs..... at the moment.

the car is price at £29000

I had a similiar problem, im buying a MK2 Type 25 from Litchfields and insuring it at its full value of 30K would be 2.5 times more expensive than insuring it for a bit less at 25K

Worth considering a may make a difference

You got a link for the car?

amullally 07 August 2010 03:04 AM

I insurance for £24995,and got a quote for £695 and for £29000-£750,the car is not at litchfields yet

Its probably the old cliche,if you can afford a £30k car,you can afford £750 a yr to insure it,not too bad really considering the value/appeal of the car

A point well made.

The Focus RS price is silly-cheap.

Most people pay that to insure a normal Focus

My r26r was £288 to insure and a uk evo-x 300 was £475
