A mate of mine work on the FX for a company called BGC based in Canary Wharf. Not sure how much your wanting to trade but he's always telling me about 100 million plus deals!

If you need to transfer relatively small amounts of cash abroad electronically (from £10 upward), their rates work out much better than going to your bank and using IBAN or whatever they call it now. Their staff are also very helpful.

If you're transferring larger amounts, these guys are also pretty good http://www.caxtonfx.com/
