The only "conversion" using the OEM calipers I have seen is Ian Godney's kit (Godspeed). :D

yes thats all i can find...but for £500 + might aswel buy some brembos

I saw a 335 conversion kit on ebay but wouldn't touch cheap brakes, or some from an unknown source ! I have the godspeed conversion on my car and they are very good, and a match for any brembo set up, I know a lot of people who complain of brake fade with brembos ......

Does the Godspeed 335mm conversion fit under the MY97-00 OEM 16" alloys 5-spoke "curvy" alloys? Or are 17"+ required?

17" as a minimum I'm afraid...

That 500+ is actually closer to £1200

Second hand Bremobos may be nearer 500 lol?

yes but then you need to spend out on performance discs and pads which could easily add another £250 to the bill , and then they might not fit under your wheels , so another few hundred quid on different wheels. so yes it can end up quite easily over a grand

My 335mm kit uses a larger disc and pad than the Brembo STi ones , In my 335mm kit you get a 2 piece disc and bell and a choice of pads , Ferodo DS2500 being one of them , pound for performance the are pretty much unbeatable

Cheers Ian

Ian- Does your 335mm conversion use a proper race disc or a modified road disc with bell bolted to?

I don't know what you're talking about :lol1:

Saalro 29 July 2010 01:36 PM

Lol a 33mm disc would prob be big enough for a Meerkat car lol. 330 would be for a human lol.

Hi
Its a disc I have cast specially for me , and I machine it from there to a finished product.

Yes and then you need to spend more on good discs and pads , they are not that great standard , and then check if they will fit under your wheels as you need quite a lot of spoke offset to clear the front face of the caliper

Cheers Ian

ok....i have got rota boost alloys they got loads of room behind them,
so £575 is the best price for the 335mm kit?
