2004 STI "limp home mode" - wont boost
Hi,
I have a Subaru STI 2004 with a TSL 333 pack on it. Yesterday the engine management light came on. Before this I had driven down the motorway for 50 miles and then 2 miles of reasonable driving from the motorway to my house (not thrashing just decent speed). As soon as I pulled up the engine light came on. Today I took it to a garage, they had a Snap-on Solus OBD reader and the error code was: P0171 – System to lean (bank 1) This was the only error code so the garage reset the code and it didn’t come back on. I then drove the car home (10miles) and it didn’t come back on but the car still seems to be in either “limp home mode” or there is a problem. It wont boost above 0.4Bar and it doesn’t go to negative boost at all (I am sure it used to on lift off throttle). Does anyone have any ideas or if not know of anyone in the Stoke-on-Trent area that could help. Thanks a lot Luke |
I have read this post about fuel but it happened half way through a tank of fresh tesco 99:
