Any bought a new Ward-Homes new build recently?

Marie and I have finally decided to get out of our 2 bed flat and into a decent size house.

Wards and Bovis both seem to be offering good part ex deals at the moment and Wards have offered just 5k less for our flat compared to what the estate agent valued it at. When you consider estate agent and solicitor fees, it's a very attractive deal. And with Wards, you get a 5 year warrenty with the new property that covers pretty much everything.

Has anyone had experiences of buying new builds from either Wards or Bovis and if so, can you tell us about your experiences?

Thanks in advance.

Our Ward home is now 14yrs old.
We have suffered from Gas leaks, water leaks, wonkey windows / Celings It got thrown together, and it was the show home too.

Inspect the house very carefully.

Did you buy new?
Friend is a recently retired wards quantitive surveyor, so will get him to check tonight before we commit.

Just reread the title ... our house was built by ward homes, not ward and partners, they are estate agents around this neck of the woods

Our Bovis house is 13 years old, we bought it new and not had any problems other than a small snagging list that was sorted before we moved in. No problems so far.

Sorry, yes it is Ward Homes, which is now owned by Barretts.
