Intake hose
Is it possible to fit a silicone intake hose (OEM size) without removing the inlet manifold on a newage STi??
Not mechanically minded at all lol and need every penny at the moment (baby due anytime) so can't really afford to have someone fit it. Thanks :thumb: Bernie |
Yes you can, bit tight, but can be squashed, takes a while though. I did it on my classic.

I have fitted 2 types on newage cars without removing the inlet.
First one being an Autobahn 88 item, this was a gift as it was so soft it just squashed into place, easy fitting but very poor quality! The 2nd one i did was a Viper item, this took alot of effort and 2 of us. The Viper intake is very stiff and there is not much give in it at all. Hard to fit but a great quality item. |
Viper is what i've just bought,so hopefully i might be able to do it!!
Many thanks Bernie |
I have viper intercooler pipe, and very good quality stuff.

A very good price as well as they've got a bit of a sale on at the moment.Ordered yesterday afternoon and came this morning. Quality service :) |
I have a perrin which is fairly straight forward to fit, removing the standard item wrecks it though (but then, I didnt care!)
