iPad specific Apps

I've done a quick search but couldn't see a topic for ipad apps.

Any recommendations?

I love maps and GPS stuff so Motion X GPS HD would be my first purchase. I played a good few classic board games with a friend the other day, not sure what the app was but it was great.

If you want an eReader app you could try Kobo (grab the universal one, it'll have a "+" icon in the store indicating it's universal. There is an iPad only version as well, but trust me, you want the universal one), there are also others out there and I could be slightly biased.

The chaps at work have a few games, Plants vs Zombies, Flight Control and Scrabble being ones they seem to like.

Marcus, this might be a touchy question but now that iBooks is out why would I bother with another eReader. I'm not a heavy reader but have finished two free and one paid book so far.

If I had an iPad, this would be an early purchace.

"With Air Display, you can use your iPad as a wireless display for your Mac OS X computer."

There's a PC version floating around as well.

BBC have released an app for BBC News.

Yeh I saw that on the app store today. It works well.

Flipboard will be a good free app when they eventually sort the servers out

Not touchy at all! It is a valid point that we have been asked before.
Why Kobo? Well if you buy a book from us you can stick the file on a variety of devices, eg; a computer (either use our desktop app or adobe digital editons to read them), blackberry, android, iPhone, ipad, Kobo eReader, and any other reader that can access adobe digital editions drm'd files, I think Sony ereaders can.

I might be wrong but an iBook book can only be read in iBooks due to the encryption I doubt apple will come out with and android or blackberry reader app

we also have books that you cannot get from the iBooks store, pretty sure the app has catergory just for that

oh and no you cannot put our epub files in iBooks, well you can but you can't read them as they are encrypted.

Just found a handy website page saver called isaveweb. Will come in handy for demo'ing websites when there is no Internet connection available.
