ecu reset ????
 
if i disconect the battery and leave it for a while then reconect it will this reset the ecu??? as car only seems to run abit rough on idle just thought it would be worth a try thanks

Yes. All Classics from MY93-00 can have their ECUs reset by this procedure.

Disconnect for at least 1/2hr for the capacitors to drain down.

Or alternatively, simply do it before you go to bed... then reconnect in the morning... ;)

thanks for that am going to leave it overnight and reconect in the morning should i let it idle for 10 mins befor driveing or does i not matter thanks

couple of mins to find its bearings should be more than enough and away you go but dont mummy cuddle it drive as you normally would so the ecu learns the way you drive mate:thumb:

have you not done a fault code read first to see if its got any codes, that might tell you whats wrong??

u can also connect the black and green connectors together under dash and check for faults, then reset ecu. instructions on jollygreenmonster website

i have not done the fault codes but will do it tomoz can anyone give me an idiots guide lol have read about connecting the green/black conectors is that all i have to do and also how do i read the codes sorry if sound stupid but new to these thanks in advance everyone
