note, i took the plastic lens cover off the sidelight, and LEFT IT OFF. i think it looks loads better, and shines the side light l.e.d better imho. painted the bulb holder with an old 501 in so it was black as you can see the holder with the cover off

Looks excellent! :thumb:I did a similar mod on my Galaxy and I heated the lamps up in the oven on low heat for a few minutes to melt the adhesive then split the lens from the housing using a soft trim tool

use a heat gun (not a hairdryer not hot enough) then you can direct heat where needed and then pull apart, wear disposable rubber gloves so you dont leave any fingerprints inside the lense or on reflector.
then reseal with tiger seal and no moisture will get in.
replace orange bulbs with silvertec indicator bulbs too so no orange is seen with lights off.

Cheers buddy, might be brave enough to try it LOL.

When you say tiger seal is this just some kind of solvent type glue?

I did it few weeks ago.
Set oven for 70 degrees, put headlights for 15-20 min.
You can easily keep headlights in hands and split off.
you dont need any seal -thats my opinion only.
