ej20 single turbo engine.

Hi there, I have recently bought a 1993 impreza project that suffered terminal engine damage courtesy of the cam belt.

I would like some pointers please of where to start my search for a quality refurbed engine- Ideally this has to be something solid that I can build on further down the line when my bank balance recovers from the shock of this initial spend.
To get the car through the mot I will also need

A rear nearside back seat window.
A whole new exhaust
Discs and pads all round.

All help and advise gratefully received- Ian

Refurbished engine........Do a search for SMR or Mr Engine on here or Google and see the huge pitfalls........unknown engine given a lick of paint mostly :( .

If you want a second hand engine then look at the for sale section for a known (ish) good engine as lots being broken.

Better still get your own engine rebuilt then you know what's been done. Some places do a drive in drive out rebuild for a fixed price so no surprises.

Hi pete96wrx,

I plan to black out all rear section windows and don't want to scrap off the tint. So, I will say thank you but no.

Hi scooby350bhp,

I'm looking for an engine I don't have to work on. But thank you so much for your offer.

What I'm after is a Scooby with a low milleage good condition engine that has been written off (maybe smashed up the rear!!) from a recommended scoobynet member.

Thanks Shaun, quote to rebuild my engine came in more than the car is worth so holding out for that known (ish) engine
Have contacted api with regards to a replacement engine
