Leaking intercooler- quick temp fix needed

I have been pressure testing my system, and its my intercooler thats leaking!

Its a small crack in the welds where the end tanks join up high, but I have some immediate issues.

I am coming over to the uk to get the car mapped next week, and then have a hill climb on Thursday all booked and paid for.

Are there any temporary fixes people can suggest to plug the cracks? If I can get it to hold boost long enough to get it mapped and climb it, that would be ideal, as not sure I can get a replacement here in time (I live in Jersey, and would need it here by the weekend!)

Much appreciated

Distraught Grant

if its in not to bad aspot then call at afabrication firm and have them weld it mate wouldnt take agood welder long,if not in situe then whip it of and have them do it

I am just not sure that they will be able to get to all the weld- it would need to come off either way.

Appreciate the thought though- As someone once said- I cant believe it!

other than that agood chemical metal might hold for ashort time, depends on the boost your running

Just 1.3 bar- chemical metal may be a good call- would rather smother the thing to make sure.

at that pressure i would have thought it will but wouldnt be a permanant fix, slap it on and hope for the best i think lol:thumb:
