Inlet manifold spacers

Other than needing double the number of gaskets when going back on will I need to worry about underbonnet space?
Is the top of the IM likely to hit the bonnet? And does it generally cause any problems with FMIC piping?

PS. Sorry for spamming this forum!

Those spacers lift inlet manifold little bit up, but not too much. There shouldn't be any space problem under the bonnet when installing those inlet manifold spacers.

Thanks. For some reason I seem to remember someone mentioning 'angle grinding coil packs'.

I think they are only about 8mm thick ?

I read somewhere that you don't use gaskets with them (the phenolic type), think it was on NASIOC ?

Thanks.

I read the opposite on Carl Daveys site, think I'll head over to NASIOC and see what I can find.

I have Carl Davey's 10mm spacers installed and those needs OEM gaskets (total 4qty / 2qty per spacer) when installing. Upside and downside of the spacer need gasket so it won't leak after install.

Go to see Carl Davey's website for more info.

Get APi ones! They have elegant rubber o-rings embedded in either side of each spacer, so don't need the 4 gaskets!

I've seen these with my own eyes the last time I was at APi, and they look a quality item.

The price for them ends up all but the same as the normal ones plus the 4 gaskets - a no-brainer...
