Help needed -appear to have immobilised scoob
 

Just bought a 07 wrx with ppp. Playing around with the immobiliser and thought i changed the pin code on the pad (followed instrucitons entirely)

Then activated the (think it was button 9, after deactivated alarm) setting which inactivates the keys unless you punch PIN code in. Unfortunatey pin code doesnt work. I cant now open the car without the alarm going off and the car is completely immobilised!!!:mad:

any ideas???

You need a security speciallist, check through your phone book for one, no one will give you a definative answer on the internet on how do get around the alarm system.

Why on earth did you mess about with it mate.

If you have the S30 alarm it takes a darn sight more than mucking about with a single button on the keypad to enable Key Theft Protection, or do anything else significant. If you have the earlier M30, it doesn't have KTP, so feck nose what you've done.

Aside from anything else you need to key in the the settings edit entry code prior to changing alarm settings, and even then know what subsequent keypresses to make. As Tony suggests you might want to telephone a Sigma approved fitter who will no doubt be able to undo your handiwork. Alternatively, pop over to the SIDC forums and read Sigma Sam's posts. You might, if you're lucky, find something of assistance.

M30 has a holiday or long term mode. You can deactivate the remote lock/unlock part. You have to use the key to enter the car. The alarm will go off, then you type the PIN code into the keypad.

Recommendation is to use a pen or similar on the keypad to ensure accuracy and butter fingered moments. Do either of the PIN codes, old or new work?

Thankfully, dealer managed to give me a master code and get it reset. Wa hoo! Dont think ill be trying to change the pin in the future. Lesson learned.
