Are STi pistons forged?

As the title really, are the pistons in an 04 Sti forged. I remember reading somewhere that they are but can't find it again.

Cheers, Rich.

aye sti pistons are the forged ones. its the rods that are the weak part but not till way over 400bhp. but they can fail at any time, depending how the car is used. I have a 98 sti standard engine in car running 350bhp and do some track days and have never had any problems, car is properly mapped by andy f.. its all about a decent map and good maintanance. Its soon to be 400bhp at end of month, so we will see what happens.

Cheers, I killed 2 of mine and was deciding whether to get uprated ones or stick with oem. Not going over 350 bhp so should be ok.
