My Spec C With S204 Spoiler And New Wheels

Ever since I got my Spec C I have wanted to change the wheel colour or wheels, the car was sporting Prodrive PFF7 wheels which had been powder coated white.

Not being a fan of white wheels I made a decision to either change the colour of the wheels; I saw a set of Inovit 18" ST6 wheels which M444GY was selling and ordered them with Falken FK452 tyres.

The car did not come with a spoiler and as much as I like the spoilerless look I do prefer a spoiler on the boot, not wanting a standard STi spoiler I decided to go for an S204/RA-R spoiler. I purchased a carbon fibre spoiler from Kakumei as I like the finish and their products are excellent quality. :)

Sorry in advance for the amount of pics taken but I got a little busy with the camera. :D

daz1968 04 July 2010 12:29 AM

looks a lot better with spoiler and darker wheels.

wrbhawk 04 July 2010 03:45 AM

Much better with a spoiler, and makes a nice change from the STi one too.

One thing, is it just me or does a scooby not look very flattering from this angle?
Whenever I take pics of mine, the ones from this sort of angle make the car look wierd/disproportionate, makes the rearend look small:confused:

Thanks for the positive comments guys. :thumb:

I know what you mean about the 'short' boot, it must be a combination of the elevation and angle. :wonder:

Thanks Jon, I know what you mean about the S202 spoiler, I like the S204 spoiler just as much. They are both a little different to the standard STi spoiler.

Thanks Rich, I'm getting quite experienced at this modding lark now. ;)

Thanks, the Spec C decal is still there it's below the STi badge, because it is white I think the reflection of the sunlight is masking it. :thumb:

Loooks great there Ty  only thing I would add is I think the wheels would look even better without the decals fitted on them.

Lisa 515 04 July 2010 04:29 PM

get that lower grill sorted and ohh, why does your blobeye have an ariel? x

daviee 04 July 2010 04:53 PM

Car looks well hard, again big improvment over the white wheels and loving the S204 spoiler. I looked at the seibon rear spoiler that fits on the original WRX spoiler holes, but lookin at the pics yours look more like the real deal.

Once the green is off them let me know how the Falken 452s are on the road on the look out for tyres my self, i am on 225 40 18 also.

I also think wheels would look better with out stickers

It has a ariel because it is a jdm car

The Falkens work a treat, I have 235/40s on mine and never had an issue with them wet or dry. I've never found the limit of traction - I do drive with a degree of common sense although I will admit to being no saint:norty:

Cheers Simon and Glenn, I am going to take the stickers off the wheels as they will come off in time so I may as well take them off anyway. :thumb:

Personally I don't like the Zunsport lower grille on a Blobeye as it is too shallow, as mentioned JDM cars have a normal aerial. :)

I also looked at the Seibon spoiler but it was too angular and the Kakumei item looks better I think. :)

As with Jon I went for Falken FK452's as I have had them before; they grip well in the dry or wet, they look good and have a good wear life as well. :D

Very nice Ty! Looks much better now with the RA-R spoiler. I want one of these so much instead of my iron board high mount. But i wonder how effective it works with the roof vane spoiler.:wonder:
