How to remove the Manual IC Spray button on Newage Dash?

is it easy to remove without breaking the button?

Got an Auto IC spray button to go in its place, so it sprays all in one shot so i dont have to keep pressing it

It's easy enough to remove, push from the behind and it pops out.

But, the Auto IC button is not a direct replacement! You'll need to keep the original button, and hack the auto button into the wire loom, and add some kind of method of detecting when to spray automaticly. This can be accomplished with some kind of boost detecting switch, or by some other means, e.g WOT detecting switch, rpm switch or something else.

i dont plan on using it as an 'auto function' though mate

just as the weather is getting hot.. and im going to do some drags.. the auto button stays pressed. so when pushed in at the start line it will spray ice cold water on the IC all the way down the strip till i press it again to switch it off at the end..

hope that makes it clearer. dont want it working like it does on the jdm cars.

p.s. as for pushing it from behind.. how do i get behind it to push it out?

Ah, ok I see. Well, don't remember exactly how I did it, but if I remember right it is possible to wiggle your hand somewhere in there to be able to push the button out from behing. But then again, my car is LHD and it might be different with RHD cars?

The button just kick starts a timer relay so replacing it with the auto button won't change anything.
You need to remove the timer and button then have the toggle between YR from fuse FB27 and L going to pin 2 on the motor.

To take the button out, remove the lower dash and pinch the two tabs holding it in from the back.

Best strategy is to remove heat soak coming up to the start. There won't be much heat soak added during a 1/4 mile blast.

i guess i wont be changing the buttons then, i'll find another way to remove heatsoak at the start

just get a latching relay and wire that in behind switch mate will keep it activated for about 10 seconds or so or can be more depending on your requirements

Just be mindful that some strips wont allow you to use water spray which dumps fluid on the strip!

just fitted it, and it works as i wanted, press it on and it stays spraying untill you press the button again :)

also on my car there is a blank button or fake button rather next to it, which does nothing but when i pushed the manual ic button out i noticed this had a sensor and wires going to it..

what are these for? or what are they wired up for?

either way i swapped the manual and auto ic spray buttons around, pushed the fake button inside the dash and just put the manual button in there for show :) lol looks a lot better than the fake button.

p.s. the pouch at the bottom of the dash is the way to remove the buttons, move the pockets and where the fuses are you can get to all these buttons easily without damaging them :)
