Dont Know What Im Looking For

Hi guys

This is the first time on this site and my reason first of all is because i am looking to buy a 2000-2002 WRX the bug shape (my fave)

but the problem is i have no idea what i should be looking for mechanicly.

any help would be much appreciated.
