If was re mapping a UK STI 2.5, where is the place to take it. Ive been looking at place's like Scoobyclinic, lichfeild imports and scoobyworld but is there anywhere else? Also do need uprated fuel pump if re mapping?

How much does the bloke charge? I have a 53 wrx and would like to know what extra power a remap would give me. I'm guessing I'll
need to add a de cat and an up pipe etc for best results. But i would rather just have ecu tweaked for more power if possible. Cheers

I am over in Stoke every month (if not slightly more often) mapping there for the members the Staff Subaru Club.

how much do you charge? Yeh i know about the SCC.

What software do you use?

dynamix 02 July 2010 06:33 AM

I charge £350 for a full custom remap

I use a range of open source and commercial software (non ecutek).

Ask a few of the SSC guys (and girls) what their experiences are :thumb:

What power increase's are we looking at?

dynamix 02 July 2010 09:15 PM

What mods have you made to the car ?

been all standard , maybe panel filter

F1 CJE UK 03 July 2010 06:19 PM

you would need a few bits to make it worth doing, dynamix has Some basic experience with 2.5 sti :lol1: (time attack car :notworthy)

dynamix 03 July 2010 08:04 PM

Lol

You should be looking at around 320-330bhp from just the panel filter and centre and backbox changes. A little more if decat centre and more still without the downpipe cat.

Lots more torque than standard too

dynamix 04 July 2010 08:05 AM

Oh and launch control and flat throttle shifting too :D

Very little to do with power increases on paper, but rather driveability - how will the car FEEL to drive, after the remap. In other words, you can have a 350 bhp with similar torque car thats **** to drive, and another with the same thats very nice to drive, depending HOW it is mapped.

The torque figure is the only one you should be interested in seeing an increase in. Yes you will need an uprated fuel pump. (and some exhaust bits, depending on your car)

I can highly recommend Richard, who is 'fiestaboy' here on Scoobynet.

Greg :)
