Replacing a top-hose: what needs to come off?

As per title really, what else do I need to remove to get at the top hose to replace it. The inner clamp seems to be under the inlet tract and also blocked off by the PS pump:(

Saw what I thought was smoke pouring out from under the bonnet this morning, turns out to be steam, (phew), and I can see a tiny pinhole in the top hose, where water was squirting out in a very fine stream, running down the engine and onto the exhaust header wrappings, where it soaked in before evaporating.

And can anyone explain why a new hose from a factor is £4.66 inc VAT, whereas the OE Subaru one from a stealer is £26 odd?????

If I'm going to do this, do I need new clamps too? They are the wire ones rather than Jubilee clips.

Anyone? Does the inlet manifold need to come off? Or just the air inlet to turbo?

Cheers Daz, coming to Donny for the hose anyway, (Leger), but in the lad's Clio. Can you advise what needs removing to get at the inner clamp bolt?

Not much really, you should be able to get to it without removing anything. Worse case scenario would be to just loosen the PS pump. It's not a big job by any means.

The offers there if you need it.

Done it.

Induction kit off, (one bolt), hard pipe to turbo loosened, and that gave me JUST enough space to get a small socket on the clip screw.

NOT easy to get the pipe off, or refit it, even with small hands, but it got done, new clips and the rear one placed so that NEXT time I'll just need to remove the induction kit.

The lads at Leger seem to know you Daz..........:D

Yeah I'm sure they do I buy enough off them lol.

Glad you got it done ok.
