03 sti ppp map reading

Hi,
Just fitted a scangauge thing, cool bit of kit by the way. Anyway getting 32psi on the Map guage, from what I have read this is absolute manifold pressure so 32-14.5(atmospheric)=17.5psi boost or 1.2 bar. Does this sound ok for a 03 stippp. Runs great btw just need to know what it should be?

That sounds in the ballpark - certainly nothing "wierd" about that relative boost level for a New Age STi.

For the record, a STi 5/6's is 1.08bar, so 1.2bar seems totally plausible for your car.

Thanks for the info, 32psi seemed high until I factored in the amos!

lol, yeah, so long as that 32psi is defo absolute, and NOT relative! ;) I hope you're sure about that... for YOUR sake! ;)
