I've Just Got 515 Miles From a Tank!!

Staggering really ...... and I have a 50 litre tank too!!

I used to get about 230 miles from 60 litres ...

But this mod has transformed things ... amazed, shocked and pleasantly surprised!

You want to know what I did - don't you?

I bought a Honda Civic Diesel ... 340Nm of Torque ... but 50+ miles per gallon

And the car only has 525 miles on it ... can only get better! :thumb:

Tomwrx 26 June 2010 05:51 PM

DJ_Jon 26 June 2010 05:56 PM

Good on ya Pete, glad the Civic is to your liking. I reckon you be back in a Scooby at some point.

dpb 26 June 2010 09:29 PM

Trout 27 June 2010 08:40 AM

Pete are you sure about the tank size?

You spent a LONG time on here deluded that your Scooby had a 45 litre tank ;)

Fantom 27 June 2010 10:10 AM

I was happy to get 300 miles from my 58 litre tank!!!
I do have a 3.0 V6 though :(

markjmd 27 June 2010 10:24 AM

Can't fault the civic for its penny-pinching virtues, but 230 miles from 60 litres is atrocious mileage from a totally stock UK turbo, particularly for an owner who self-admittedly drove everywhere like a granny

BTW Pete, I notice there was a distinct absence of road-tax increases in last weeks mini-budget - I'll be expecting your cheque in the post imminently ;)

cheers
Mark

A surf board, or perhaps on the board of directors? Or maybe you meant bored?

He didn't. He claimed to get 38mpg regularly ;)

Another 'slip up' :D

pslewis 27 June 2010 05:54 PM

Whatever is said .... you cannot argue against the intelligence of someone who selects a car which returns 500+ miles for 50 Litres ... especially when you enjoy more torque than a Scooby! :thumb:

Time has moved on, I've moved with it :D

About 450 miles from a 60(ish) litre tank for my 3 litre 6 pot with two turbos...:thumb:

Did someone say surfboard...?! ;-)

Fantom 28 June 2010 01:36 PM

Matteboy, I usually only get 200 miles per tank :(
I just queue in traffic and only get 17mpg to and from work :(
