SwissTony - Markus - iPhone!!

:)
So, imovie app downloaded, and a ferking masterpiece has been created on my new iphone4 :luxhello: (The cat lays down, the cat licks paw, the cat gets up).

How the fook do I get it out? I don't want to mail it or send to youtube, I want it on the pc via iTunes so I can stick it on DVD.

I am being totally thick and can't find an option to get it on the pc :freak3:

Sounds like an interesting vid, please upload it here when you work it out  :D

Sync your iPhone with iTunes, look in Movies.

JPL 25 June 2010 09:47 PM

I syncd including photos and movies into a new folder
no pics or photos in new folder, nothing viewable in itunes (except a movie I bought)

:-(

Here you go mate

When you're happy with your project you save it by tapping the Projects button in the upper-left corner of the display. Your project appears in the resulting Projects screen. Tap the Export button in the lower-left corner of the screen and you see the three export options--Medium - 360p, Large - 540p, and HD - 720p. When you tap an option, iMovie exports the project and saves it to the iPhone's Camera Roll. Once the movie's in the Camera Roll, launch the Photos app and you can then choose to email your movie, send it via MMS, send it to your MobileMe gallery, or send a copy to YouTube. And, as with other movies you shoot with the iPhone, you can import your movies to your computer when you next sync the phone.

tell me if that works. it should appear in photos by the sound of it not movies
, the same way , if you were on a mac, quicktime movies would appear in iphoto

JPL 25 June 2010 10:05 PM

Yeah, I got all that Swiss, I save the project and it's in camera roll.

I go into iTunes and sync phone

I go to the Photos tab in iTunes and create a new folder, I select "include videos"

I click apply and it syncs. I am on pc, not Mac

Once sync is complete I go to new folder and there is this;

Johns crap movie folder
--iPod Photo Cache << this is a folder it created
----Photo Database file << 2kb file

You are the f**king man!!! Got .MOV files now on the pc, next step is to see if they will play on a DVD?

If we ever happen to be sent to prison together, I'll protect you in the shower. :thumb: :lol1:

.mov files are obviously quicktime movies. So with the right software you can whack them onto a DVD and make your cat famous :D

as to the shower scenario you talk about, who will pick up the soap :Suspiciou

JPL 25 June 2010 10:58 PM

I need to convert .mov for DVD? (QuickTime is ok on pc)

Any suggestions for painless operation?

"painless" not being the word if you pick up that soap :-)

SwissTony 25 June 2010 11:09 PM

Whacking on a.mov file will be fine for someone to view it on a DVD but only in a pc, not a commercial dvd player i believe.

Depends on how you want to share it

Thanks Swiss, appreciate the help tonight.

While we're on the subject of iOS4, they still didnt sort out the fcking SMS notification appearing in whatever you are doing.

Playing games, watching movie, using sat nav etc - why the heck do I want to see a SMS alert in the middle of the screen?
