I always thought that "Thomas G Crapper" took the biscuit, but then he started it all anyway!

Les ;)

Errrrrrrr, no, actually, he didn't, he was just a manufacturer who copied others, but his name was prominently displayed;)

Went to a museum in Stoke-on-Trent where one of the displays was, "The flushing toilet". Very interesting.

Bakers Butchers in Witney. Could cause mayhem for the feckless.

Don't know who there was for him to copy in those days.

Didn't he produce a usable version of the flushing toilet? I remember his vans driving along the M4 before it was extended years ago.

North Wales is so boring companies name themselves after the main road through it, the A55.

Unfortunately, we now have vans with A55 PLUMBING written all over them driving round.

He was competing with Tom Tit Sh1tters Inc. if I remember rightly.

Apparently people were going for a "Crap" before Mr Crapper got involved in sanitaryware, his name, according to Bill Bryson, who I assume did his research, was a happy coincidence.

What about those who don’t give their domain names enough consideration:

1. A site called ‘Who Represents‘ where you can find the name of the agent that represents a celebrity. Their domain name… wait for it… is
www.whorepresents.com

2. Experts Exchange, a knowledge base where programmers can exchange advice and views at
www.expertsexchange.com

3. Looking for a pen? Look no further than Pen Island at
www.penisland.net

4. Need a therapist? Try Therapist Finder at
www.therapistfinder.com

5. Then of course, there’s the Italian Power Generator company…
www.powergenitalia.com

6. And now, we have the Mole Station Native Nursery, based in New South Wales:
www.molestationnursery.com

7. If you’re looking for computer software, there’s always
www.ipanywhere.com

8. Welcome to the First Cumming Methodist Church. Their website is
www.cummingfirst.com

9. Then, of course, there’s these brainless art designers, and their whacky website:
www.speedofart.com

10. Want to holiday in Lake Tahoe? Try their brochure website at
www.gotahoe.com

I bet all of us have read those the unintended way :norty:

There used to be some builders round my way called Bodgit & Legit, but I think sadly that was deliberate.
