Clicking when braking

Hello everyone,I am a newby to Subaru,s and may I say I dont know why I have never bought one before (probably insurance) fantastic cars.My poser is that when I brake, more often than not I hear a clicking noise is this normal or does something require replacing! 1999 Impreza turbowagon.regards George...............

I heard a lot of people complaining about this, its normally just the pad moving slightly in the calliper, not much you can do! One thing I would say is that I had loud clicking/clunking with my classic and it turned out to be the clip type thing that holds the pad in place was actually upside down!

Hi, if you search this forum, there is a fix that involves using some other grease than copperslip, this has happened to all 3 of my Subarus, 2 bugs and one blobeye! Mine still does this but i fixed the last two! Nothing to worry about though and usually only happens when brakes are warmed up.
