sti branded oil filter

Anyone used these over the standard ones as always used standard on my last impreza "tuned uk turbo" But about to do oil change on latest car type 25 and wondered if there are any advantages. Thanks in advance :)

From what I understand of the STi oil filter it is meant to have a higher flow rate than the standard oil filter.

Whether it is a money making exercise or not I cannot tell you but all Impreza's come fitted with the standard oil filter from the factory, even the RA-R and S204 so I think the STi filter would only really be worth using on a highly modified engine. :)

STI in japan do a whole load of uprated items, everything from oil to filters, you can search the subaru japan website for these items, never did them over here though.
