Firstly hi all, just registered.
I am looking at buying a subaru impreza wagon, either a sport preferably or wrx. What faults should i be looking for when buying? any common faults?

are these not to totally differnt cars? is the sport not NA and the WRX a turbo?

Hi .. Welcome .. Depends what kind you looking at ..Classic or New Age? And what year?
I'm not technical but there's plenty good advice on here.

Hi m8, possibly better to explain what your after and why first as they are two completly different animals, i have wagons of both a sport classic and a bug turbo both have been bomb proof upto now

Hi Guys, thanks for the quick response. Well the subaru will be for the missus, performance isnt really an issue she just likes the look of them (the classic that is) Has to be a wagon as we need one for ferrying the dogs around. I've spotted a few so far that i'm interested in.....

2.0l non turbo wagon 'X' reg 60k on the clock with paperwork to back it up

wrx 'S' reg 127k on the clock with some history

wrx 'L' reg 83k on the clock cambelt recently done and some history

Just need an ideal of any common faults to look out for, or anything that is best avoided.
