Looking through Demon Tweeks mail order book and I came accross Imitation Brake Discs.

When you have rear drums you put this disc in between the wheel and the drum, thus hiding the drum and making others think you have discs and not drum brakes.

Anybody think of any better than that http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif

I saw a Golf MkII with these about a year ago. The imitation discs were bent by being jammed against the hubcaps and ended up looking really fake and nasty.

I thought that he'd done a DIY job, but from reading this I guess that he must have paid for them.

Seriously, is there a problem with the Turbo when a big bore exhaust is put on the Scoobie, because of the lack of back pressure??

I saw a black 80's Pontiac firebird on the motorway recently complete with red 'knight-rider' lights on the front. That takes some beating, IMO! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

answer : anything made by FoliaTec - they've got a whole range of stick on 'race-look' bits - from panel fasteners to window surrounds..

AWD 08 March 2001 01:24 PM

Pete - they'll bite. Give 'em time. http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Leigh - KnightRider lights - I'd like to see that. Was it done well - moving lights etc.?

PeteT 08 March 2001 01:25 PM

What about the "Quad headlight look kits"? They are actually a piece of plastic with two big holes in which stick over your existing square headlights (thereby actually reducing the light output).

Leigh 08 March 2001 01:27 PM

AWD, yep! looked like the real thing (except for David Hasselfoff driving!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif )
Laugh? I nearly crashed! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
