While crawling around underneath the car fitting some mudflaps noticed a rectangular box fitted to the underneath of the car.
The box is fitted at the rear of the car on the drivers side, any ideas what it is? just curious. Cheers Nigel |
Its a speed tracking device that the dealer uses to download the average speed of the vehicle, if it exceeds 63 mph they report you to the police. Only joking :D :D ;)
No idea but I would like to know also Yorkie ;) |
Does it tick....Kaboom!
Sorry, not a clue as it's not on MY00's. F |

If only, make an ideal anti-hijack device :D. Could be a cloaking device so that the car is never seen by speed cameras and other road users :) (dream on I think...) Nigel Edited: Spelling and grammar (the usual) [Edited by nigelward - 3/30/2002 11:40:13 PM] |
I understand ( but I will be corrected if wrong)that it is a fuel vapour separator that returns vapour from the tank rather than it be vented to atmousphere

You're right Bob, that's exactly what it is, activated carbon soaks the fuel vapour up inside the canister.

Thanks guys
