Originals are 1600 x 1200, so I've sized these down to 640 x 480 for modem folk. My 35mm SLR films are ready tomorrow, so should have better shots with the decent zoom.
Here we go... By chance we managed to meet the guys coming down from the Midlands on the M4, so could roll into the services to a few stares. http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2623.JPG The crossing was a bit choppy at times - severe force 9  I still managed to watch all of Oceans 11 in one of the on board cinemas. http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2624.JPG The Rum* Posse on the ferry http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2626.JPG Some of us managed to find the right road out of Santander ;) http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2631.JPG The delightfull historic and charming town of Lloret - ha hah :D http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2637.JPG Thanks to Sal, four of us managed to gatecrash a tour of the Mitsubishi team workshop. Thanks Sal :) http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2640.JPG These APs have fully mapable water cooling. http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2641.JPG Zorst anyone? Yours for around £4000 Sir  http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2645.JPG We finished Tuesday afternoon by finding the SWRT guys packing up from testing and watching Citroen start their runs up the road which would also be used for shake down. We realised this once we driven down it between test runs and seen large amounts of rubber on the corners. http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2647.JPG http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2651.JPG A quick bit of recce work - this is the hairpin Panizzi had his fun on, minus the hoards http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2653.JPG Wednesday saw us getting in the way of the SWRT folks at their base camp. Thanks to Pete Croney for organising our visit. http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2664.JPG http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2665.JPG An early start on Thursday took us to shakedown http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2672.JPG http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2673.JPG http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2677.JPG Friday was an even earlier start. Worth it though as Camp Subaru was formed: http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2690.JPG Amazing view from our position http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2691.JPG Understeer anyone? http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2695.JPG http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2698.JPG http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2694.JPG Some of the Super 1600 cars sounded superb, even this little Suzuki http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2699.JPG Don't ask! http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2706.JPG Camp Subaru moved up the stage a little for the afternoon re-run http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2708.JPG Being a bunch of lightweights, most took the decision to visit the service area on Sunday to avoid yet another early start. http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2711.JPG It's good to know you get Max Muppets in Spain http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2712.JPG Rubber anyone? http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2713.JPG Anyone know this bloke? http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2716.JPG http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2721.JPG http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2727.JPG http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2728.JPG We followed the crowds down to the hairpin on Sunday. Crack of dawn start again, but oh yeah, was it worth it. http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2729.JPG Camp Subaru returns http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2732.JPG http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2736.JPG http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2743.JPG Some couldn't cope with the pace... ;) http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2734.JPG http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2742.JPG The Rum* gang make it back safely to the ferry after a great blast across Spain. The number of times we got asked on the ferry back if we'd won... :D http://www.aironet.btinternet.co.uk/rallycat02/2745.JPG |
