Some Pics Of My Spec C Blobeye

As I have recently bought a Blobeye Spec C I thought it was about time that I took the car for a good drive around West Wales and take some pics at the same time. :)

Unfortunately it had been raining today and the place where I wanted to take the pics was covered in mist but I thought "sod it I'm here now", I would have prefered sunshine but some of the shots in the mist I think have come out quite well. :wonder:

The road is the B4329 between Haverfordwest and Cardigan and it is a cracking road when conditions are good with very little traffic, if you are ever in that neck of the woods then give it a try. ;)

Some of the pics are in black and white and any comments are welcomed. :thumb:

Very nice mate, but I'd have stayed with the 202 personally, bugs are much better looking than blobs:D

Nice although better with WRX rear wing IMHO.

Motorsport versions (16 inch) dont come with the spoiler, though on the first day of me collecting my first Spec C back in 2004 on the 10 mile drive home I passed a 16 inch white version going the other way in the town I live in :lol1:

Looks good Ty :D glad your enjoying her :D

juggers 30 May 2010 02:41 AM

I supplied this a while back to Rich who carried out some nice mods to it. Good to see it's passed hands to an enthusiast owner once again.

Very, very nice. :thumb:

Very nice mate! Looks like you got yourself the most hardcore of Spec Cs. Must be fun driving without ABS and only manual DCCD.:D

How big is the Nurburgring sticker you have back there? I got 1 custom made recently for my car. I thought 4" x 4" was alittle small, so i went for 5" x 5", now it looks alittle big. Yours looks perfect.

belliott69 30 May 2010 07:19 AM

looks a stunning car, but if it was me i would get another boot with a spoiler on so i could change the look of the rear end when i felt like it.

Shaun 30 May 2010 10:17 AM

Proper drivers would want to ditch ABS anyhow! ;)

Car looks great! :)

Fai17 30 May 2010 10:23 AM

stonejedi 30 May 2010 10:27 AM

Nice car mate, I know that road very well as I used to live in Haverfordwest years ago. The road from Hwest to St Davids is also one of my favorites although there is more traffic, drive it early in the morning though and its awesome !

It's a 16" motorsport version originally come with 16" space saver type wheels throw away brakes throw away interior delete ABS and no air con or elec windows.

To be honest you cannot notice the difference, I have heard that the wing only really comes into effect at 120mph and above. :wonder:

Now that's not start a bug/blob war shall we? :lol1:

The S202 was a cracking car but after having driven a twin scroll car I couldn't not get one.

I am thinking of a rear wing for the Spec C, what do you think of the Hawkeye RA-R / S204 wing, I think it would look good, not so in your face as the STi wing. :wonder:

Immy

I bought it locally from another Rich who bought it, I love the car and it will hopefully be with me for a while yet (this is my 3rd Newage in under 2 years).

It is pretty hardcore I suppose, I haven't noticed the lack of ABS TBH, the AP 6 pots stop you like you have hit a brick wall. The DCCD I have only used it in open mode but another local member is going to show me how to use it properly.

I'll measure the sticker for you and PM you the size of the sticker. :)

TonyBurns 30 May 2010 09:23 PM

You only need a small spoiler, not some ironing board ;):D but you may not notice much difference, the aerodynamics dont really come into effect until your doing 70+ anyway :D

Tony:)

That is what I might well do, as I like the RA-R spoiler and I know of a member with a 'spare' bootlid. :thumb:

Thanks Shaun, like said before I haven't noticed the lack of ABS as the brakes stop you really quickly.

Yes it was, I knew the member selling it and just hoped his car did not sell before mine. :norty:
