Early classic header tank, swap.
 
Can you replace an early classic header tank with one form a later model classic, and will the pipes need replacing?

Tank i have, above the red circle.

I've done it, but, as you can see the mounting holes are no where near the inlet manifold. Need to make some sort of bracket, it's only secured by the bottom nut/bolt.

I used the correct small diameter water hoses, although they could do with trimming down, but your hoses won't reach.
