Basically it's Millers CFS or Silkolene Pro S, in 10W-50 weight.

I think Silkolene products have recently changed their brand names though...

Silkoline is Now Fuchs
10w50 Pro S (esther) Synthetic

Take into account what oil has been used in it before.

It seems that the car places around me only seem to stock 15w/50 Mobil 1 anywhere near that spec would I be able to use this instead of 10w/50 or would it be to thick?

15W is probably okay as its extra thickness when cold helps "fill the gaps" 'and maintain good pressure/lubrication 'twixt bores and pistons.

Your STi has forged pistons see, which, when cold, are slightly contracted, leaving a tad more clearance than when they are up to temp and fully expanded... By which time the 50 "hot" weight will be pressed into action anyway.

Thanks Joz

Will give it a try and see how it goes.

If it makes you feel any better, none other than JGM Simon uses 15W-50 (Motul 300V Competition) in his brutal 600+ bhp Jolly Green Monster... ;)
