there are a few more, I want to do a LHD conversion and overhaul the engine (bearings, head gasket, etc)
I've been driving a modded wrx wagon for 2.5 years, has been crashed by my mate and now time has come to buy the stronger version.
Hope I'm able to see much of the country (landscape, prodrive in banbury :cuckoo: :lol1: and some other things) and meet of course people ! :D

The top one doesn't look like a STI to me (WRX intercooler), looks like a WRX.

The 3rd one looks very nice

Avoid the first one, engine is from SMR (very bad reputation for dodgy engines and they fob you off when it goes wrong, sprayed and cleaned, not recon), you will be replacing it in less than 1000 miles :mad:
Avoid the second one, slight mis alignment of steering wheel and oil leak, also sorn which means its off the road and requires an MOT before it can be put back on the road, probably have issues with this one.
Number 3 looks good, find out how much service history it has.
Number 4 is worth a look at too but number 3 points to be the better buy.

im liking both number 3 and 4. i would rather go for number 3. as its v5/v6 sti. mileage is low.= and is newer out of all the cars described

The trouble is that version 6 is 2k cheaper and 2 years newer with 17k less miles, so even with mods your going to have a hard time selling :(

yeah i dont mind returning to stock and selling on the parts if required.

Im no in rush to sell. I still rekon at that price the quality of the car will make it easily worth it, im sure 1st to see will buy. My break even point between split and sell is about 5.5k i think.

the V6 looks like a very good deal if the condition is good enough when seen.

Harsh Tony as SC's car seems good VFM taking account of the mods + being a SNet member you know that he'll have looked after it.

got the cusco sti reserved until I buy it, the guy selling it would drive with it to Doncaster, where I can get easily from London. The big question is:
How do I book a trainticket from London (airport is called stansted) to Doncaster.

hi mates,

after a long, exhausting trip full of doubts I went off the plane in London-Stansted, exchanged 5000 Euro in 3700 Pounds (at an astronomic rate f**** wankers from the Airport!), got into the train to Doncaster where Elv fetched me.
Suddenly my mobile rang... was my mom lol, she didn't know where I was and that stayed that way :D
When we went to the scooby Elv started her remote, let her run warm and his mate showed me what she can do *pornolicous!!!* she does around 4.4 sec from 0 to 60 (not kph, of course :D)
The evening was not far away and the first beers were shot, we had a very funny talk til 4 o'clock in the morning and had a lot of fun
The next day we bought a tax disc and I took some driving lessons in an industrial area, after 3 times it was all okay :D
In the meantime a ferry was booked (25 quid) and the insurance problem solved (his mate drove it to Dover), I myself drove it onto the ferry and at 2 o'clock in the morning the exciting travel to a mate in Dortmund started - 18 hours of driving without any breaks worth to mention. Road tax in France is expensive, they took ~80 quids :(
in Dortmund I was on a japanese car meeting, many watched the only JDM vehicle on the area... saw some street races between Hondas *yawn*
The day later in the South of Germany I was pulled over by the Police... gave them the paperwork, they were studying it for half an hour and I think they didn't understand anything :D gave it back to me and I was able to drive home (100 miles away)
Now the STI is well garaged and covered with blankets til the end of August.

I'm so proud I was brave enough to do the travel, in the very beginning I didn't know what to expect, but after all I'm just happy and I hope I can be back in Britain soon or meet any of'em...
