Wheel aligment settings
Hey,
going to have my car 4 wheel alignment done, anybody have some settings to use? I'd like a fast road setup but will that knock the edge off my tyres? thanks,Ben it's an 03 STi with coilovers. |
dunno what exactly was or could be done to my 99 type r mate but i got a fast road geometry set up done n the tyres hold up great on normal use and the car feels alot more stable approaching the limit :D
|
turns out it wasn't actually 4 wheel alignment, just tracking....
it's better, but still pulls to the left,I have swapped my back wheels to the fronts but still the same....must be in the camber? right? |
If you can get it to Carnetix in Melton Mowbray, their guys, (and gal), are brilliant at this. They transformed my Scoob, it feels tighter, and more planted right up to the limit.
They will discuss what you want, what can be done and the effect on tyre wear etc before doing anything. Highly recommended. |
With coilovers you need someone that knows what they're doing as heights have to be set as well, so you need a specialist (Scoobyclinic, Powerstation etc) and not an ordinary garage/tyre service. Pulling could be due to thrust angle error (where the rears point relative to the front, set via rear toe adjusters).
