Identifying box under dash/cut wiring

Well, I was installing some bits on the car yesterday and noticed some cut wiring hidden behind the glovebox.
I traced it back and it goes to a slim silver unit bolted underneath the dash on the drivers side, just left of the fuses.

Anyone know what that box does and therefore what these wires are meant to do?

Alarm?

could also be something to do with airbags..

It could be the alarm I guess, the wires cut when the Sigma was installed when it was imported to the UK.

I hope it's not the airbag though! They're all held withing the yellow cable harnessing aren't they?

Could be a turbo timer.

Might also be a tracker that's been disconnected.

was going to say tracker also....

Don't think it is, I know where that is. The wires coming out of it look like they're pretty integral to the rest of the wiring loom.

Think I might see if I can find a wiring diagram....
