Engine Running Lean on Bank 1 !!!!????

Hi guys just replaced my MAF sensor on my bugeye 01 and damn check engine light comes on with Engine Running Lean on Bank 1 still ! im thinking could be dump valve ? ive dont an ecu reset , and left batt disconnected 4 whole night so should have erased all previous faults as well. would i get same error for a lambda sensor , replaced that while ago 2 ! ahhhh !!!

Yes mate,

Its most likely the lambda sensor, might be worth borrowing a working one just to make sure before spending your hard earned money.

Hello mate,

I had the same problem recently.
What have you done to the car lately? Does it run a flashed ECU like Ecutek etc?

What DV are you running? Check all vaccum pipes for minor splits or holes. Do you have a hose leading to a Boost Gauge etc?

hmm replaced the lambda a while ago. yeh got a pipe goin 2 boost guage and the dumps a VTA baileys. just the normal check engine light, i used odb2 reader 2 get the code.

Ok,is the Bailey DV sounding different?

Did you buy a new Lambda or used? Have you done any mods to the car lately? The reason I ask is it could be something thats been changed etc? If so trace it from there.

Where abouts are you? Mabe someone is willing to let you use there MAF to see if that resolves it.

Put the standard recirc valve back on. Baileys, Schmaileys;)

i know people hate VTA's but ive always ran them ! it was a new lambda. ive checked 4 leaks by spraying carb cleaner on pipes etc , and on the baileys and engine doesnt seem 2 b affected.... hmm
