Little bit of help please ?

When rebuilding an EJ20 lump, do you re-new the head bolts & block bolts ??

Also is there a certain sequence you tighten the block bolts up in ?

Just going for mild mild tune of 300-350hp standard internals.

Thanks in advance :o)

I would renew the bolts, but which block and internals are you talking about

How's the re-shell going JB?

That sort of power shouldn't a problem with the right parts (apexi power FC, Z32, 550cc injectors etc)

Ello mate :)

Yeah it's going well !! Will post a pic up in a min. Just a lil bit of paint, a set of wheels & the engine to do.

Do you know if we need to re-new the head & block bolts ?? It's an import EJ20 open deck block wit O.E. crank & rods.

Cheers jb

I don't know for about the studs and bolts mate because I've never ever taken a scooby engine apart before. Ginge was over last night and had the rear driveshafts from your car lol.

The car is looking very very good already! What wheels are you looking to put on it?

What's with the ****ty Cossie pictures? Who one earth would have one of those lmao :lol1::lol1::lol1::lol1::lol1::lol1: Did you make it to central day in it? I still haven't driven mine since buying the M3 :nono:

They are both fine to reuse.
If engine has seen load of heat as in head gasket failed engine would renew head bolts.
