cossie-nutter rip off, beware

Hi all I recently bought or thought I had bought a avcr from cossie-nutter from here I paid for the item through bank transfer straight into his account as I was led to believe he was a trustworthy trader. This was over three weeks ago now I have tried contacting him through pm via the site and had nothing in return, he said he was posting first thing monday mornin (three weeks ago) and nothing has turned up. I am now £300 out of pocket and no boost controller and not a clue what to do, any advise please? Im not one for moaning and giving someone a bad name but I have been ripped off.

Moley 03 May 2010 08:51 PM

Could be a genuine error, i think he is a well respected member on here.

NEILB1 03 May 2010 08:52 PM

sounds like another scammer, SEEN this crap on a other forum i am a member of and pisses me of big time,

Did you get an address or phone number ?

Jamo 03 May 2010 08:52 PM

Myles 03 May 2010 08:53 PM

Ive only heard good things about him, I hope you get it sorted soon.

G8RDK 03 May 2010 08:53 PM

so i thought too, like I say I dont want to give anyone a bad name but three weeks and nothing not even a reply to my messages after giving £300 is a lot

Do you know him Neil? You seem to have a vested interest.

nick172sport 03 May 2010 08:57 PM

he is a genuine bloke must be a reason why not sent items

G8RDK 03 May 2010 08:58 PM

no its definately him he even asked me to leave a comment on i traders and i read his posts replies before putting money into his account. I pm'd to cossie-nutter about the boost controller so how can it be someone else?

Marx Mcrae 03 May 2010 09:01 PM

Im sure there is a genuine reason as to why he has not sent the irem or been in contact. As people have said, he is a well respected member on here.

Must admit though that I would be getting worried too though after 3 weeks.

just seen this and thought i would let you know about my experience with cossie-nutter approx a month ago. offered to buy his speakers, he replied saying still for sale, no paypal acc. and could i send a cheque. ended up sending cash via special delivery. heard nothing and he had spoken to me on mobile from a with-held no. pmd him quite a few times, was told he was in the process of moving house and had forgot to send them. i was convinced i had been scammed and was prepared to write it off and put it down to experience. i DID recieve the speakers as described and promised about 3 weeks later as well as a pm apologising for any delay as he was up the wall. yes he does take a while responding and yes it is frustrating but i found him to be a genuine bloke with a very busy schedule. may come as little comfort but these things do happen and i would ALWAYS recommend to meet up in future whenever possible when buying off here. hope it all comes good for you but just thought i had to chip in cos he really is a decent bloke IMO

Jamo 03 May 2010 10:03 PM

if you have had a bad experience why are you not leaving a negative feedback on his account? I am sorry but I find it hard to believe you wouldnt do that if you had a bad experience....

G8RDK 03 May 2010 10:20 PM

my06 ppp silver thanx fot that, its good to have a bit of reasurrance i just want my money back now tbh lets see what happens
