Newage Momo Airbag Steering wheel

I have removed the airbagged momo steering wheel from my bugeyed scoob to make way for a smaller one:D

It is in good nick, having covered a mere 50000 miles. It is the black stitch WRX style wheel.

Will take £50 collected. Not overly keen on posting an airbag:?

wherabouts are you?
is there any wear on the wheel?

JonMc 01 May 2010 09:41 AM

Hi mate, I'm in North London (Just outside Watford). The wheel has a small scratch on the momo badge, and the perforated area is slightly shiny, but that has to be expected after 50000 miles. I'm currently uploading some more detailed pics that I'll post up shortly:thumb:

No problems, I'm not sure what the regulations are when it comes to posting an airbag, I'm suspect people do but I can't find the restrictions on the royal mail website:?

an airbag won't go off without power, so there's no problem posting one

I have bought & sold them in the past and sent & recieved in the post, with no issues

JonMc 01 May 2010 11:46 AM

In theory it shouldn't as you say, but I thought I had read somewhere that airbags are considered dangerous goods and shouldn't be posted:D

Only if they are posted with the explosive charge that sets them off Jon ;)

if you'd split the wheel & airbag, I'd take the wheel if you'd post

mine is a Classic and the wheel is the same, but I believe the airbag connectors are different, plus my airbag is ok

Make me an offer on the wheel, remembering that the airbag is probably worthless without the wheel:rolleyes:

Rich D 01 May 2010 01:11 PM

how is the airbag worthless?

JonMc 01 May 2010 02:43 PM

Because once I split the 2, the second half will only be saleable to someone in a similar predicament to you. That doesn't come around to often does it.
