Raising Taxes
Taxes/tolls whatever you want to call them.
Should the government potentially tax people for wearing in public lets say burqas and the likes? Belguim have shown their hand and set the standard, but whats to stop the UK making a quick buck on the back of it. Jews could also be taxed - per item of clothing perhaps And people that cannot speak english - we'll they're fair game for some taxation too I'd guess. What are your thoughts? Millions could be raised - especially from the last suggestion. |
I'm not sure you sound bigoted enough.

Put turnstiles on the doors at all temples, churches, synagogues and mosques.
The "Pay to pray" tax. :D |
Should charge the Irish tax for knocking on my door, asking If I wanted my concreted drive tarmaced every couple of weeks!
|
Yep - but thats those Irish boys for you.
I agree they should be taxed for knocking on your door too but they're not part of the UK so you'll have to either start another thread of give up on that one. Now Back on topic Who likes the idea of these new taxes? |

I can't say for the others, but Catholics operate a 'pay to pray' policy already, what do you think the big gold plate is for ;)
They pay via a torn sphincter But thats a whole different story. Now back to those traditional clothing taxes/tolls |

And Cockneys too Dave, their grasp of the Queens English is tenuous at best :nono:

They'd never get away with it & I doubt they'd even try such a "silly" tax ...

It is about time that they all became honest and told us what sort of cuts they intend to make instead of keeping it a secret in case they lose votes over it.
I think most realise what a state our economy is in and hiding that is dishonest of all the parties. There is no way we can escape more taxes and spending cuts if this country is going to have a prayer in avoiding Greece's position. We just have to face up to what is unavoidable. The supply of borrowed cash won't last for ever. Les |
^^ The UK is fecked Les no matter who gets in. Be ready for a very rough 5yrs :(

It will be interesting what we do actually see from the next government, and a bit of a worry too.
