Power loss

Hi guys, a few days ago I was having a drive and when I booted it from 1st gear the cars power just completey went and the car missed. But this hasn't happened since, but the car seems to have lost power?? It's a uk turbo with full de cat dump valve and I recently put a z4 ecu on it. Thanks guys

I've tried the old ecu it the same, after giving the car some stick once, all the power seems drained from it, it's missing all the way through the rev range?

Whilst you've got the original ECU back in, keep it there , but also reinstate the OEM recirc DV aswell. Then do a ECU reset (just in case it's learnt some 'bad' timing etc.) and try that...

I don't have a clue what the recirc dv is mate lol? Help! The other thing is that the old ecu wasn't original it's a v9 from an import wagon, mine is a uk saloon. I've also just noticed when turning the ignition on i hear the fuel pump come on but then a slurping noise from the fuel tank also?

I'd return the car back to std. Get hold of the OEM-fit ECU for your UK saloon (no more than £30).

The DV I'm on about is the original DV - the black plastic recirculating one that fits between the turbo-IC pipe and the recirc port on the turbo intake hose.

These changes should be enough to act as a 'control' - and go from there...
