I had to go over and have a look at this car, after all it might have been another black S202 but I can keep my crown of having the only black S202 in the UK. As I was looking at the front grille of the car I thought "What a waste of a good badge". :D

A rather nice RS Focus, these are really starting to grow on me but I would still have an Impreza Hatchback STi first. :D

One of the world's fastest production cars, the Porsche Carrera GT - far better looking I think than a Ferrari Enzo. :smug:

Good pics Ty - excellent pic of the white Evo - framing/light level etc was spot on :cool::cool::cool:

S202 :lol1: thats from up Ystrad Mynach way it's not even an STI....its only recently had the Brembo's put on it. looks nice mind.

I don't know the camera must have developed a fault, I set it to IA mode (children's mode) for someone to take a shot while I popped off to the toilet, whoever it was made a right hash of it...;)

I only hoped after he saw a real S202 that he took his grille badge off. :lol1:

I often think its a pity that people put badges on cars that dont belong there. Although i admit I did put a "subaru technica international" sticker on my old WRX.:o

I think it dilutes the marque tho and isnt fair on those who go out and buy the geniune article.

Like the amount of BMW's about with M Power stickers on them.:(

If it aint in the ingredients it shouldn't be written on the tin.:lol1::nono:

Yeah got to agree, don't like it when people badge there cars up as something there not, seen a really funny one the other day on the M4, a guy in a 59 plate C-class merc something like C220, had it badged as a C63 AMG and it so obviously wasn't :cuckoo: :eek:

so would it be wrong to put an sti badge or sticker on my uk classic if it has some sti parts ? what if its far better than an sti ?

Or even a Subaru badge on my swift :D

I wasn't having a dig at all Impreza's with the 'wrong' badging, just that the 'other' S202 at PCAD didn't even look like an S202. :eek:

Fair enough if it is was a close replica but it was nothing like one. :cuckoo:

I was thinking more about standard cars badged up when nothing has been changed.

If the car has some STI parts then i think its ok to put STI badges on it particularly if it consequently becomes better than a standard STI.

When people put M powered badges on non M cars its a pity for example but if parts are added that merit the badging then its no problem.

As i said above - if it isnt in the ingredients it shouldnt be on the tin. Or maybe it should?

do you think the owner of the Black WRX in the pic above know he hasnt really got an S202?:lol1:

What gets me is when people buy a £10K Type R and then spend £10K putting a 22B replica kit on it! :wonder: Why not just buy a 22B in the first place? :lol1:

As for badges, the enthusiasts will always know a dud... Waste of time badging something up to what is will never be! :o

Think the 22b replica can be done a fair bit cheaper than that, i did consider it with my type R, i wouldn't of ever put a 22B badge on it though.
Just love the archs on a 22b and think they would look awesome on a black or cool grey type R :thumb:

Yeah the S202 badge is only a recent addition to that car, used to see it regualary in Ystrad Tesco.

Have seen this myself in Ystrad Mynach. Never noticed the badging before to be honest.

Well Im not going to criticise the chap who badged his WRX with S202 badges to harshly as at the end of the day he's a car enthusiast.

Perhaps eventually he'll have something a bit special that doesn't need to be badged up.

I alwys think that when I see a spotty teen in a saxo with a body kit he's the future owner of something really nice if life doesnt spoil his passion. so I dont laugh at him. Just smile with a sense of humour.

I do the same, mainly because i was once that spotty teenager but with an XR2i not a saxo or if i come across a maxpower lover i think omg what a tit:lol1:

Terrible shame with the s202 being written off :(. Beautiful car and the only contender for the 22Bs crown IMHO. Would love to have one.
