anyone had the parts? or know when they will be arriving?

I noticed that I have been billed for it.

ScoobyMann 27 March 2002 08:52 AM

My mate Rich (a dreaded Evo driver !) was in on the group buy and, since we work about 200 yards away from the guy shipping the bits in, we went to see him yesterday about where they were.

He said they were still in shipping (got sent by boat !) and would be about another 2 weeks.

ChristianR 27 March 2002 09:00 AM

ok, thanks for letting me know :)

POC 27 March 2002 11:00 AM

Thanks for that ScoobyMann.

If I hear anything else I will let you all know.

Cheers

Paul

Adam M 27 March 2002 01:38 PM

completely forgot about this one. cool, more bits coming.

ozzy 27 March 2002 02:34 PM

Wasn't a rowing boat by any chance :D

Do you need to adjust these or is it just a plug 'n' play job?

Stefan

POC 27 March 2002 02:40 PM

Just plug em in, download the latest software and off you go!

ozzy 27 March 2002 03:27 PM

POC 27 March 2002 03:29 PM

Adam M 07 May 2002 02:59 PM

this is the second thread about this, and frankly I am pleased to see a second. I am beginnign to lose my patience.

POC 07 May 2002 03:18 PM

Right, I have spoken with the supplier.

He is on the case as is asking that you please bear with him, he is having trouble getting information out of our japanese friends (something to do with them all having a 2 week break, i dunno).....

I have the email addresses of everyone involved, I will mail you all when I have some further information. Please don't chase me up, I have no more information than is stated above.......

I feel silly having to post when I have no further information, be patient lads, it will be worth it in the end.....

Thanks

Paul

Oh, and if any of you find Adam's patience or or Christian's dummy, please send them back ;) (joking lads - before you burst something) :D

ozzy 08 May 2002 11:32 PM

Paul,

It'd better be or else I'm coming round with the lads ;)

Cheers,
Stefan

ttt

any news?

AlanG 10 May 2002 05:08 PM

This whole things a bit of a nonsense.

Think about it. The whole thing kicks off in the middle of Feb.

Plenty takers for the goods, the company who is supposed to supply you, takes yer money and everybody's happy, including the company, who has your money in their bank.

They have sat with our money for almost 3 months now.... 12 weeks almost against an original 4-6 weeks....

Look at some of the facts.....I personally have phoned, been told *two weeks*, (a couple of posts have since been put up after I phoned).

This thread started and the second reply from ScoobyMann says " I was told about *two weeks*.... Look at the date of posting....17th March!!, this is now May for christs sake!!!

It's an absolute nonsense that it can take up to 3 months and possibly more to obtain goods from any part of the world, unless of course there is a *problem* with distributor and / or manufacturer / supplier.

Has anyone opted out and been refunded for the strut braces?

ozzy 10 May 2002 05:15 PM

No, not yet.

I'm a very patient man, but this is starting to get to me. A week or two's delay is to be expected given where they are coming from, but 3 months is taking the pi$$ a bit.

I would like to hear more information than "it's on a boat somewhere" or "it'll be another 2 weeks".

If the supplier didn't have our money I would be less bothered. Maybe we should have arranged to have our cards charged when the goods had actually been shipped to each of us.

Stefan

AlanG 10 May 2002 05:22 PM

I was also told that if I wished, I could be kept updated on likely delivery of the strut braces......................zzzzzzzzzzz........... .........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...........

Not a peep!!

One of the most important things I feel is that my customers are kept informed, should there be any delay with supplying goods.

It's called customer relations, something I fear this company hasn't heard about yet!

POC 10 May 2002 05:24 PM

Guys, give me a while and I will get some more info.

Understand where you are coming from.......

Talk soon

ozzy 10 May 2002 05:25 PM

Alan,

Do you have their details? Mail me offline if you don't wish to post them.

Stefan

POC 10 May 2002 05:39 PM

Right, I am waiting for an update from Johnny, he is waiting on information from Japan.....

Let me get some more details before this all goes pete tong....

Cheers lads, have a good weekend

Paul

Stealth 10 May 2002 05:40 PM

Hi guys,

Just a quick not, I know some of you are growing impatient waiting for the CUSCO groupbuy stuff to be delivered...... As I am sure POC has been telling you, this is not the fault of the trader, it has been a supply problem from Japan

Just thought I would let you know, I have made several purchases from Grasshopper, every one of them has been delivered on time with a very good level of customer service! Most recent purchase was a Blitz exhaust system! Ordered at 4pm yesterday, arrived today!! Cant wait to fit it, am almost wetting myself!!!!

Johnny is a good bloke lads, lets not shoot him over something that is out of his control!!

Thanks

Tony

AlanG 10 May 2002 05:56 PM

Paul.....don't take it personally.

I think it can be agreed by those involved that all you did was organise the group buy. I don't think they hold you personally responsible for the delay.

The problem is that the company has, or should have, contact details (phone No, E-mail etc) of those who undertook an agreement with them for the supply of the strut braces and have made no effort in reassuring their customers that the goods they requested will be delivered.

This isn't the first time I've waited three months for goods, only to end up having to go elsewhere because of the incompetence / financial position of the company with their distributor.

The way things are going, by the time we get them, we will have traded the cars in........

But then again........maybe it's me.......3 months, correspondance back and forth......no joy..........find out company's in dire atraights.........glad to get money back.........get goods elsewhere...........happy for a while........order more toys for the car........wait 3 months........oh nooooooooooo!!!!!!! :D:D

The way things are going, by the time we get them, we will have traded the cars in........
Funny you should say that, that's exactly what's happened to me.....

Matt :)

AlanG 10 May 2002 06:14 PM

Tony

I don't disagree that yer man is a decent bloke. I've spoken to him myself and is quite an amiable chappy.

But tell me this.......how do you know it's out of his control?...has anyone seen anything to support the problem being in Japan?... What other dealers have the same issues with the distributor as this company?

Give me some information from other Cusco dealers that will satisfy me that the problem is indeed coming from overseas.

The last company there was an issue with regards supply of goods also had decent chaps running it, but at the end of the day, they failed their customers because they couldn't be up front with them with where the problem lay.....

All came out in the wash though........

Stealth 10 May 2002 06:20 PM

Come on Lads, it's hardly the end of the world
these are unforeseen circumstances, things that are
totally out of the control of the supplier.

You know you're going to get your goods, it's not as
though your money has been taken and you're not going to
get anything in return.

Now as I said before, he is a really good bloke so just settle
they will be here. The best things always come to those who
wait.
