Loud End Can - Which One????

Ive got a 2001 Bugeye WRX, at first it was lovely and loud, have since fitted a 4into1 type header pipe and fast flow cat downpipe, only since then the sound although is fantastic when i boot it is very quiet both on tickover and slow running. Hence i would like a louder end can to return the slow running sound, what makes can anybody suggest, as i dont want to blow big money on a can only to find out it doesnt sound any different.

I think you've answered your own question, it's probably nothing to do with the end can it's likely to be the manifold that's changed the sound I have equal length headers on mine and it sounds very different to the OE cast set, but if your convinced it's the tail pipe simply unbolt it and check the sound without it, if it appears alot louder on tickover then you may get more noise from a different can if not that I think your stuck with what you've got.

Micky and Jon, like the look of both, poss looking for something that is going to be loud, but not to the point of having to put a bung in to avoid pi$$in off the neighbours, will have to give both companies a bell on monday morning and have a chat, see what they can offer me...

Cant wait to get one fitted though....

Thanks again all, nice to see some people are helpfull on here..:notworthy

If its just a back box your after i would say the best sounding is the TSL Firestorm. If its centre and back box it has to be Nur-spec type R.

Agree with Wimpy on the TSL Firestorm.. the only reason i changed mine was because i wanted 3 inch all the way thru :thumb:

Merlin if you want really loud firestorm ,blitz,or afterburner,to name a few.if its quiet/subtle then prodrive or scoobysport or racebox will do you. if you want something thats not to loud then there are a few to choose from.
When we spoke last sunday i was going to buy an afterburner the following day,but after seeing the near brand new ninja 2 system for sale by scooby stu,i had that instead ,and it is perfect. No cabin drone at 90 mph and you can still hear it 1/4 of a mile away when giving it plenty.

Ive got a 98 sti and when it came into country it had a kakimoto race system and i think its the dogs nads. The only thing i changed was the downpipe to a roger clarke one. I drive an old 51 plate mondeo every day and let the wife use the scoob as daily driver and she loves the noise so do the kids.
