Mobile Signal
My son went on his first trip abroad with work on tuesday and has been stuck in Zurich he didn't sort his mobile before he went and has no signal. He is trying to catch a train back across Germany, Belgium and Holland any ideas as to if his phone will get any signal before he gets back to the UK ?

If he's in Zurich then he should have a good signal. Sounds like he didn't get his provider to enable his phone to work overseas. And, from what I've read, they don't like doing it if you're already abroad.
Can he not buy a local PAYG SIM and use that? Failing that I'm sure the Swiss have landline phones he could use..... Dave |
Sounds like this is what has happened he didn't get it enabled before he went he has now left Zurich and is on a train coming back across Europe somewhere. So from that i'm guessing we wont hear from him until he is back in the UK !

No technical reason why roaming can't be enabled while he is abroad.
He should call his operator and ask for it to be enabled, he will still be able to call them. |
