URGENT ADVICE NEEDED

Guys,

My warrany is due to expire next Fri. I got my hawk wrx lowered on eibach pro springs and fitted an anti lift kit. Trouble is the suspension is making so many squaks and groans its totally stopping me from me even wanting to drive it. In fact earlier I choose to drive my hyundai i10.
Would it be worth me taking the springs and anti lift kit back out and putting the originals back in and if there are still strange groans etc go back to Subaru under the warranty.
To be honest yeh the car looks better lowered but was much more comfortable on the standard setup.
Any advice would be much appreciated

A very frustrated Scooby owner

Yeh its so frustrating when you make a mod and it backfires. Why dont you like your ASt's?

dont bother with the anti lift kit, its there to help improve steering respone so its not that, did u get the geomoetry/wheel alignment set up again when the anti lift kit was put on as this is a must ,

the struts are prone to go on all subarus,

i have a hawkeye as well and had to get mie replaced just before my warranty ran out

does it give a knocking sound/bump/grind when pulling away slowly or when car has passengers,if so then its defo the struts

Strange how fitting lowered supsension and ALK causes the groaning and squeaking as you say.
Was it making the sounds previously or was it immediately after the mods were fitted.
It could be that the springs/supension hasn't been fitted correctly.

yes the geometry was done!! The guy that did it worked for Prodrive.

It does all those things but tonight when I had a passenger it seemed so much worse than normal. On the open road at speed its fine just when you are going slowly over uneven ground.

Think i am just gonna take the eibachs out and replace them with the standard ones!! (The Subaru dealer told me if was modified they would not look at it)

It was perfect before the mods!! Yeh thats a possibility but this guy is very highly rated over here and worked for Loeb and prodrive

I don't understand why the springs would cause the sqeaking immediately after they were fitted. The struts can't be damaged if they were fine immediately before the mods.Is that what you are thinking?
I suggest a second opinion before removing them. They could be upside down.oops!

Yeh to be honest I noticed it immediately after I got the car back!! I said to him and he took a quick look and said its looks fine.

To be honest it was far more comfortable to drive on the standard springs so gonna put them back in. (Must be getting old) If it still knocks then it goin to Subaru. Was gonna get him to take the anti lift out to but might keep it. I never noticed any difference with it fitted than the original one anyway.

Just shows even with coilovers you can have problems!! Most likely the way they were fitted
