Newage Sports CAT and Blitz 3" centre section

Excuse the length of the description, but with the sport cat not being quite as described when I bought it I'll take a few extra words to be completely honest in the description.

What we have here is a Sport Cat that was sold to me as a revolution sport cat that was a straight fit on all TD04/05 fitted cars, well the turbo end is a straight fit anyway. This appears to be designed to be fitted to the Revolution system and is not easily compatible with other systems, although it can be made to fit, I got fed up and bought a decat.

Firstly it is too long to mate to the factory system, so you need to cut the flange off and make this slip jointed, or some other way of doing it. I trimmed this down and also my Blitz Nur Spec centre, and once the length was right the angles were wrong.

I see the best way to do this would be to measure up and weld on a flange joint, or get a custom centre made.

It is not a bellmouth designed sport cat and the bracket the mounts to the gearbox has been cut off by the previous owner, although it is a lot lighter than the factory stuff so I don't suppose that is a problem. On the plus side it has been wrapped in Thermo-tec Cool-it heat wrap, by me, so I know that bit is new and it is a 3" pipe design.

The extra bit you can see is an adaptor to allow you to retro fit any cut exhaust back to factory downpipes/cats.

I'd like £75 plus delivery for this given that these are £220 on the revolution website - http://www.revolution247.com/exhausts-bug-eye-69145-0.html

I also have the blitz nur spec centre pipe. This has had the 2.5" flange cut off to allow this to mate to the 3" sport cat and make the system 3"s all the way though. Again, this could have a flange welded on to make this mate the sports cat, or the 2.5" flange could be welded back on to mate to the factory system (there is enough tell-tales to get it to line up). It is worth noting that the Nur spec rear flange appears to have a different rotation to the factory system. The picture shows some scuffing where this used to catch my drive prior to fitting the 18" alloys (needed that extra ground clearance). Again looking for £75 plus delivery for this - it is a quality exhaust:thumb:

I also have a 3" sleeve joint with a pair of exhaust clamps and 2 x 3"flanges. I am open to OIRO £10 for the sleeve and clamps and £5 for the flanges (all plus delivery) although if you wanted some of the exhaust parts I am sure we could work out a deal.

would i need to remap the car with this sposrt cat fella, and i am understanding i will have to chop the original pipe to get this to fit which has the adapter with it from the pics etc ?

You would need a remap to get the best from the sport cat, but from discussions I had with my mapper, you could run without a remap - although I wouldn't personally, but I had a remap planned anyway.

If you are fitting this to a standard centre section you will need to cut the flange off and buy a step down pipe. The adaptor is there to allow you to return to on OE setup if you ever remove the sport cat. I made the same mistake as you when I saw the pictures when I bought it and assumed the 2 should go together.

I hope that makes it clear:thumb:
