new paint and rims
finally put the car back together today after painting it and putting a new set of rims on,
bit gutted though as i used the wrong actavator (used fast drying and should of used normal :brickwall) and the laquer set to quickly causing a lot of orange peel, never mind just have to spend a day or two cutting and buffing it now. heres some pics. http://img143.imageshack.us/img143/8686/dsc01171y.jpg http://img186.imageshack.us/img186/8656/dsc01172q.jpg http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/7902/dsc01158h.jpg |

Looks good, I like the detail on the bonnet scoop.

|
well its been sprayed and im happy with the colour but fecking paint aint gone on the best a few runs in visable places and the p/s front door is real thin in places, :)
most of it will be covered in stickers but some will still be seen :( arrr well guess it will be sprayed again next year :D |
i plan to re-do mine again in the winter, full strip down engine out etc etc.
anyway you could re do the door before putting the graphics on ? |
were going to give it a good polish and wet flat some of the lacker runs,
the boot is real **** so might take it off and do it again at some point, im waiting for a email back on my stickers but im hoping it will mean there here by wednesday so i can take my time fitting them. |
fingers crossed fella, if you lived a bit closer then i could of helped.
i will be wet flating and polishing tomorrow, also have a few runs but mostly orange peel :brickwall i spoke to a fella that work in autoparts (pontypridd) and he said that because i used fast drying actavator, and the day i painted it was when the weather changed and it was warm that is why the first coat of laquer went off to quickly and the first coat didnt have a chance to gel, should of used normal or slow if really hot day. hope everything works out for you fella, and when finished post some pics and look forward to meeting up again. |
